Hello! My name is Carlos and I am the owner of Retro Redeemed.

My repair journey began when I came across a DS Lite after many years of not having played with a DS. In my childhood, my DS was very special to me and so this drove my desire to learn how to repair this console and make it look brand new again, as a show of respect. After many trials and errors, I found that I enjoyed the repair process and began practicing my skills.

At first, I did repairs and reshells locally once I had learned enough. As I met more people and repaired their beloved consoles, I began to naturally move up the ladder: From DS Lite to the DSi, and DSi to the 3DS - I learned how to repair every console up to the New Nintendo 3DS XL. From this point, I began to move into the online repair business. Retro Redeemed was born on eBay in January of 2025. As of now, I have repaired hundreds of consoles and performed countless refurbishments.

During my many experiences repairing these consoles, I have noticed, in particular, how frustrating and difficult it is to find the right parts for your repair. Even if you do find the correct listing, there are no guarantees that the part will fit as it is expected to.
